The Urban Institute released a report today which examines the effects of a proposed partial repeal of the ACA. The GOP Is proposing to repeal the ACA through a budget reconciliation process, which requires only a simple majority in the Senate and cannot be filibustered.
The components of the plan that are at risk include:
Elimination of Medicaid expansion
Financial assistance for Marketplace coverage, including premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions
Individual and employer mandates

Yesterday, President-elect Trump tapped Representative Tom Price (R-GA), an orthopedic surgeon and fierce critic of the Affordable Care Act, to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services. He is set to become the country's leader on health policy, in charge of administering Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA, and maintaining authority over the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health and other major health agencies.
